Church recorders are members or associates of NADFAS working in groups of 12 or more, with one member as leader and one as photographer. They meet in the Church, work in pairs and describe, measure and date objects, concentrating on furnishings, fittings and movables. Training days are organised locally and nationally, and copies of each completed Church inventory is presented to the church and placed with the National Monuments Record in Swindon, the Council for the Care of Churches in London, and equivalent bodies in Scotland.

Records have recently been completed and presented to churches at Shalford, Merrow and Puttenham.
We have a group of 20 members who have completed recording All Saints Church, Witley and are now working with Wey Valley DFAS in recording St Nicholas Church, Guildford.
